Overview

The Property Accountant II is a professional capable of fulfilling accounting and forecasting requirements of multiple mid-sized entities, including day-to-day interactions with internal and external personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record month end journal entries
  • Manage and monitor entity level cash flow including processing loan draw requests with lenders
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships both internally & externally
  • Become a subject matter expert for entity related activities
  • Assist business partners with the review of entity level reports and provide ad-hoc reports as requested
  • Monthly budget review and analysis
  • Ensure accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP
  • Monitor and reconcile all balance sheet accounts in a timely manner
  • Involvement with maintenance of partner capital accounts
  • Review and prepare monthly financial reporting packages
  • Assist with financial workpaper support for auditors
  • Assist with various regulatory/compliance requirements

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS Degree in Accounting
  • Basic understanding of general ledger activity, experience with MRI Software a plus
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with tax accounting required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels and personality types in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while following through on issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to understand and interpret specific legal agreements (i.e. operating agreements, loan documents, leases, etc.)
  • Attention to detail is a must

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. 

   
For Providence, RI this ranges from $61,600.00-$90,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
