Overview

Next 150 Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company, is seeking an Equipment Specialist I – Onsite to assist the onsite team in equipment, temporary services, and consumable operations for a mega-project in New Florence, MO.

 

This role supports day-to-day rental and inventory activities, customer and vendor coordination, data accuracy, billing support, and continuous improvement for Next 150 customers and project teams. This role is expected to work at the job site 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment, rental & inventory operations: Perform routine transactions for equipment rental, inventory, re-rentals, consumables, billing support, purchase orders, invoicing, information distribution, and organization of location, repair, warranty, and asset records.
  • Customer, vendor & inbox coordination: Provide timely support via phone and email for internal and external customers, vendors, and trade partners; monitor the project request inbox and route requests to the appropriate responsible party.
  • Equipment rental program support: Assist in onboarding of customers through document exchange, internal setup coordination, communication follow-up, and collection/management of forecast requests from customers.
  • Forecasting, billing & reconciliation: Assist with consolidated invoice review, processing, re-billing, and reconciliation of forecasted needs versus actual equipment and service usage.
  • Dispatch & software administration: Coordinate with onsite staff as needed; input data in CMiC; assist in maintaining scheduling/dispatch software; and support accurate information flow across software, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Site services & equipment operations support: Order parts, maintenance items, and consumables for the Equipment Operations team; coordinate installation of upfitting and telematics for owned equipment; and support onsite inventory reconciliation.
  • Planning, logistics & coordination: Attend project planning and logistics meetings, support bid package preparation, conduct research on equipment/services/processes, and coordinate information with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Safety, coverage & continuous improvement: Participate in safety activities and training, serve as a backup to the main point of contact during absences, identify process improvement opportunities, and document improvements. All other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of equipment rental, warehouse, or construction experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of procurement and asset management software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving, multitasking, and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of logistics operations, including equipment, warehouse, storage, safety, dispatch coordination, and start-to-finish service support.

Working Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel as needed, less than 15%.
  • Construction field office and onsite project environment; may be exposed temporarily to extreme weather.
  • Frequent activities include sitting, standing, walking, and viewing computer screens; occasional activities include bending, climbing, reaching above shoulder, pushing, and pulling.
