Gilbane is seeking a Prequal Analyst to establish and maintain trade contractor prequalification statuses and assist in establishing bidders’ lists. The Prequal Analyst develops knowledge of financial analysis and reviews and approves financial waivers, recommending the appropriate Risk Mitigation Plan based on trade contractor prequalification reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes trade contractor financial, safety, and compliance information and sets prequalification statuses and limits
  • Calculates and interprets ratios as a measure of financial health based on a detailed review of trade contractor financial statements that include balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Reads and understands notes to financial statements and interprets items that may impact ratios and overall financial health of a company
  • Educates and assists trade contractor personnel regarding company qualification requirements; assists trade contractors as needed with the prequalification platform
  • Communicates identified risks to purchasing and/or project teams in a timely manner
  • Tracks and maintains priority of approval workflow regarding active bid lists, master bid lists, and expired trade contractors
  • Supports and coordinates with purchasing to enhance the population of approved trade contractors in each Business Unit (BU)
  • Works with Project Managers to identify and address trade contractors having qualification shortfalls
  • Reviews and approves financial waivers; reviews RMP plans based on prequal reviews
  • Coordinates NDAs for release of financial information
  • Coordinates Parent/Cross-Company Guarantees

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience within the finance, accounting, or construction industries
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to function as an integral part of a team; highly collaborative
  • Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal capabilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet quick turnaround deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of prequalification platforms for all aspects of trade contractor prequalification
  • Bilingual is preferred, but not required

 

 

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

The pay ranges from $XX,XXX.XX-$XXX,XXX.XX plus benefits and retirement program.
