Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes of the Division Business Development plan
  • Manages the rigid “go-no go” process within Division and ensures that the Business Development Managers are an integral part of the process; manages the level 1-3 process
  • Establishes and maintains the right balance of market geography and sector focus including core, strategic, and opportunistic
  • Provides the perspective of political knowledge, sense, and sources that guides the strategy
  • Knows the competitive playing field and has a strategic sense of how to position Gilbane
  • Manages the proposal/presentation process for the Division
  • Establishes and adheres to departmental budget
  • Coaches and mentors within the Division and manages a cohesive departmental effort including all training programs
  • Leads the Division’s Doer-Seller program
  • Identifies key strategic hires and rainmakers to parallel Business focus in conjunction with the Business leader
  • Supports the selling of eTop, FM, TPM, Site Services, GRS, and other service offerings
  • Positions and assists in selling CDI and CCIPs
  • Models efforts for Inclusion and Diversity
  • Exhibits prudent judgement in all decisions, personal and professional, and leads by example as relevant to the core values of Gilbane
  • Leads brainstorming and whale pursuit strategy
  • Maximizes utilization of COEs (Centers of Excellence) in the sales process
  • Adheres to all corporate reporting requirements
  • Works in partnership with Division operations partners
  • Acts as the catalyst for One Company mindset including synergy with GSMS and on national accounts
  • Maintains onboarding, orientation, and training of new BD Professionals across the Division
  • Responsible for the career development and coaching of employees through a team of managers
  • Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
  • Drives the long-term strategic vision for the organization, serving as a bridge between Executive leadership and operational teams and ensuring alignment of departmental goals with the overarching vision
  • Provides strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership for informed decision-making

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • 15+ years of experience in increasing levels of responsibility with proven success in marketing or business development
  • Strong sales background, specifically in the A/E/C industry
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For (Insert State) this ranges from $203,500-$317,500 plus benefits and retirement program.
