Responsibilities

  • Produces quantitative surveys and accurate pricing for assigned building components on a project from its early inception through an acceptable working budget, GMP, or Lump Sum Price 
  • Coordinates and manages estimating documentation during the design phase of the project
  • Performs quantity takeoffs and pricing on civil, architectural, and structural portions of projects
  • Engages in the subcontractor market during the design phase to receive current costing input into each estimating deliverable
  • Obtains and presents unit pricing data to lead estimator
  •  Outlines clarifications and qualifications within an estimate for assigned building components
  • Provides back up for estimates to be used during analysis and review
  • Utilizes Gilbane’s estimating takeoff and costing software
  • Utilizes Gilbane’s baseline procedures and templates in the performance of their work
  • Adhere to Gilbane’s Baseline estimating playbook and tools

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience 
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of On-Screen Take-off, Destini, and Site work software tools for take-offs
  • Ability to complete quantity takeoffs for assigned divisions or building components
  • Ability to obtain and scope trade contractor budget pricing proposals
  • Ability to provide qualifications and clarifications for items that were quantified 
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Understanding of Contract Document and Specifications

 

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For Arlington, VA this ranges from $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
