Responsibilities

  • Follows all established phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with Hiring Managers to develop recruiting & selection strategies, following a structured approach.
  • Manages sourcing and screening non managerial positions, and assists recruiters with their sourcing, building up a pipeline of skilled talent. Assists with the intern and college hiring.
  • Promotes diverse candidates.
  • Increasing their knowledge of the A/E/C industry through research and candidate engagement.
  • Leads the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position and conducts regular follow-ups with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system and post openings in other appropriate venues.
  • Works with external recruiters as needed. Consults with Sr. Recruiter and above on contract scope changes/modifications.
  • Be an ambassador for Gilbane’s employer brand both internally and externally through the usage of social media outlets in order to establish and develop contacts within the A/E/C and HR recruiting industry.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
  • 0-3 years of recruiting experience, in the A/E/C fields (Federal or Commercial) strongly preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Understanding of recruiting principles
  • Customer service oriented, with exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to listen to understand
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and process oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build strong relationships
  • Learning to influence without direct authority, and build credibility and confidence
  • Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems such as ICIMS, LinkedIn and other sourcing tools, and data analytics tools
  • Familiarity with laws,and regulations, applicable to hiring and recruitment including but not limited to OFCCP, EEO/AAP/VETS requirements
