Responsibilities

  • teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and market conditions of the portfolio to provide actionable insights to the Director of Leasing and the internal leadership team.
  • Develop and monitor property business plans to meet investor expectations
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement strategies for portfolio optimization.
  • Assist the Director of Leasing in market research, tracking rents and completing market surveys in various markets.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify challenges, assess business plans, evaluate third-party operational performance, identify improvements opportunities, and communicate findings.
  • Become GDC’s expert in each market where properties are assigned, with a focus on competitive assets, pipeline, and other economic drivers that could impact overall asset performance.

Qualifications

  • Candidate needs to be a strong leader, enthusiastic, creative, flexible, display strong technical aptitude, detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience leasing residential units within the student housing sector, including responsibilities in leadership, management, and onsite team training. Multifamily experience is not required but a huge bonus.
  • Proven experience overseeing the performance of a portfolio of properties and implementing appropriate action plans to achieve results.
  • Must be comfortable with the software Entrata, Yardi and/or Realpage is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of real estate financial modeling, budgeting, and performance analytics.
  • Experience in rent setting, analyzing, and interpreting marketing trends is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat and/or Canva Pro
  • Able to prioritize multiple projects, take direction and stay on top of deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel to sites as necessary (30%)

 

 

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

 

For Arlington, VA this ranges from $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
