Responsibilities

  • Assure all project‐related work plans and project‐specific documents necessary for performing project QC activities are accurate and available
  • Inspect work conformance to contract and design documents
  • Understand drawings and specifications
  • Implement the site specific Three Phase Control System (the QCM Plan)
  • Coordinate and maintain in wall blocking/backing and ensure installation compliance with Medical Equipment and IOT Equipment (LogCat equipment)
  • Oversee staff of QC Technicians for execution of the Quality Plan requirements
  • Develop daily quality control reports, prepare and issue detailed meeting minutes, and assist with post construction reports
  • Oversee Submittal Process to track and assure required materials are approved in a timely
  • Manage in‐depth technical reviews of submittals against design documents
  • Proactively initiate deficiencies and non‐conformances documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actions
  • Elevate issues as necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality, or non‐compliance with design documents
  • Manage and monitor system to verify materials received are same as those identified in approved submittals and complete material receipt inspection checklists
  • Coordinate with the Commissioning team to witness and document 3rd Party testing, special inspections, and commissioning of building systems
  • Coordinate and document Closure inspection process
  • Manage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documents
  • Enforce quality control policies and inspections with all trades and coordinate responses and procedures with our JV partner and all other stakeholders
  • Interface with design professionals to address constructability, access, and code alignment concerns
  • Update and distribute the QCM Plan as necessary to address field or team revisions
  • Oversee the Code Alignment process to ensure all 3rd party review comments are sufficiently addressed and incorporated
  • Manage the 3rd party Cyber consultant to ensure compliance of trade contractor components with the Cyber Security requirements

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • BS or MS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management, or CMAA Certification
  • DoD construction experience preferred, including firm‐fixed price design‐build construction.
  • Large project experience ($50M to $100M+) desired.
  • Design‐build experience and Cyber Security experience preferred
  • Large scale ground up hospital experience, preferably with Joint Commission inspections / certification
  • Experience managing Quality Control programs for large scale construction projects
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel user
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Skilled using Microsoft Word and Excel; CxAlloy a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to collaborate daily with the multi-lingual project team and contractors
  • Able to demonstrate both engineering and field supervision capabilities
  • Must be MEP construction literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction, testing & inspections
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing needs
  • Has in hand or can obtain an active passport and European work visa
  • Ability to learn and utilize conversational German language

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
