Overview

The Sr. Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting for Gilbane Development Company through a consultative approach.  This is achieved through the development of a national recruiting strategy to support the current and future needs of the business.  The Sr. Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. The Sr. Recruiter may also lead strategic recruiting initiatives and serve as peer coach to the Recruiter I and Recruiter II.

Responsibilities

    • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process with a focus on scalable strategies for hiring entry-level, mid-career, and executive talent.
    • Provides high-level consultation and support for recruitment and staffing management within the real estate development space.
    • Builds targeted pipelines for "experienced hires" that draw a high-quality, diverse applicant pools to meet upcoming needs and maintains regular contact with possible future candidates.
    • Partners with hiring managers to assess workforce gaps and proactively build talent pools for key real estate development positions, including land acquisition, finance, construction, project management, design, and property management.
    • Knows the current events of local/national/international competitors in real estate development, bringing market intel to Hiring Managers and the recruiting organization and leveraging it in the recruiting approach.
    • Leads the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position and conducts regular follow-ups with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
    • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system and post openings in other appropriate venues.
    • Manage the use of firms inclusive of staffing agencies and external search firms familiar with the real estate development industry, including contract management and negotiation.
    • Be an ambassador for Gilbane’s employer brand both internally and externally not only through the usage of social media but by attending local and presenting professional/industry meetings in order to develop and maintain contacts. This may include participating in the development of marketing collateral for recruiting purposes.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    • Travel up to 25% may be required including meetings with business leaders, real estate development sites, university career fairs, and industry networking events.

     

     

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
• 5-7+ years’ experience recruiting experience, preferably within real estate development, with strong market knowledge of real estate development trends and talent availability.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong market knowledge of real estate development trends and talent availability across regional markets.
• Flexible to work in a hybrid model, with three days per week onsite.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

• Knowledge of recruiting principles and best practices, with the drive to own the full recruiting process from start to finish.
• Customer service oriented, with exceptional communication skills
• Demonstrated understanding of the Real Estate Development marketplace, including sub-regional markets like Portfolio, Property and Asset Management, Capital Markets and P3, is highly preferred
• Strong listening and facilitation skills with the ability to build consensus and influence leaders at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized, with ability to lead and manage multiple simultaneous requisitions and internal team initiatives
• Ability to work in a team environment, build strong relationships, influence without direct authority, and build credibility and confidence at all levels
• Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems such as ICIMS, LinkedIn and other sourcing tools, and data analytics tools
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment including but not limited to OFCCP, EEO/AAP/VETS requirements

 

 

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

The pay ranges from $101,200.00 - $160,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
