Overview

 The Applications Development Manager will work closely with the product owners, product managers, and vendors to ensure the system runs smoothly and meets business needs. They will understand the construction industry and uses that knowledge to support and improve enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Understand Relevant Platform Features: Stay updated on the platform's features, upcoming releases, and changes. 
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Help end users by troubleshooting issues, documenting problems, and working with vendors to resolve them. 
  • Knowledge Base and Training: Assist in creating and maintaining help materials, FAQs, and training programs. 
  • Reporting and Data Management: Provide reports and data exports/imports as needed. 
  • System Configuration: Work with business partners to set up user roles, workflows, reports, integrations, and other system features to meet business needs. 
  • Collaboration: Work with vendors and consultants to ensure the system meets business requirements. 
  • Testing and Documentation: Create testing procedures, verify results with SMEs, and document outcomes. 
  • System Upgrades: Collaborate on system upgrades and new module implementations. 
  • Feature Requests: Collect and document new feature requests and enhancements from SMEs. 
  • Integration: Work with third-party vendors and the Application Development team on system integrations. 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, computer science, information systems, or a related field is required. 
  • Knowledge of industry-specific solutions, such as those for construction or manufacturing with 7+ years of experience is preferred. 
  • Basic understanding and writing of reports for end users. 
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and coordinate work efforts effectively. 
  • Experience with Scrum or other Agile frameworks is beneficial for managing projects and workflows. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address and resolve system issues efficiently. 
  • Ability to work independently and motivated to seek opportunities for mastering unfamiliar tasks. 
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
  • Ability to analyze business processes and recommend improvements. 

 

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    
For Providence, RI this ranges from $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
For Boston, MA and Arlington, VA this ranges from $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
